Brilliant color, advanced compatibility, extended lamp life, and more

The Optoma HD27 is an advanced 3,200 lumen 1080p home theater projector. Its 1.1x zoom, sRGB support and 25,000:1 contrast ratio makes it perfect for watching TV shows, sports, movies and gaming.

Video and photography enthusiasts can use the sRGB color space to produce rich, accurate color based on the primaries of REC.709b HDTV specification when used with any sRGB-compatible device, including both PCs and Macs.

It’s MHL v1.2-compliant, which allows MHL devices such as Optoma’s HDCast Pro, Roku Streaming Stick and Smart Phones to connect directly to the projector without the need for an external power source for music and video playback, view pictures, share web pages and other user-generated digital media content with family and friends.

Quick Resume

This feature allows the projector to be instantly powered on again within 100 seconds of turning it off.

To help save energy, this feature automatically turns off the projector after a set period of time, if it is not being used.

Full HD 1080p

1080p (1920×1080) resolution renders sharp and detailed images from HD content without downscaling or compression, which is perfect for movies, TV shows and gaming.

Dynamic Black Technology

This feature gives more depth to your image by smoothly adjusting the lamp output to create a stunning high contrast ratio. Bright scenes appear crisp and clear, while dark scenes remain detailed with deep blacks and exceptional light and shade detail.

This unit is simply fantastic value for money. Picture clarity is stunning and my little girly just love to to dig in her animation collection (frozen, Ice Age, Monster Inc etc) – she just love it on the big screen !!! Built in sound is good but MUCH better with Soundbar !!

I am struggling though to find the HDMI wireless dongle ‘Optoma HD Pro Cast’ in South Africa

If you think that “budget projector” means those under-powered, handheld projectors, then you should think again. Like most everything else in consumer electronics, serious, wall-filling home theater projectors are becoming cheaper and better — and projectors like the Optoma HD27 are one of the elite.
This projector includes 3200 lumens with cinematic color displaying vibrant image quality!! Projector is 3D ready, has onboard speakers, is compact to take on the go, and is capable of fine image quality. Guess what? It has a gaming mode. Xbox One looks amazing!! Colors are excellent and black levels are perfect. The picture blows away any projector at this price range. The fan is quiet and can only slightly hear it when your sound is muted. You won’t be able to find a better big-screen experience for this amount of money. One of the best electronic items Ive ever purchased. Love it!! (and so do my kids)
