David Wung

President, Americas

David came to Optoma in March of 2017, bringing a wealth of technology and industry experience including planning, partner relationships, and product strategy to the company. He spent nine years at Asus where he was vice president of product management for the Americas, and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Maureen Schmidt

VP of Sales, North America

Maureen is responsible for all sales and customer relationships in North America, and has been with Optoma since July of 2009. She is a projector industry veteran, holding sales management positions at powerhouse projector companies such as InFocus and NEC. Maureen donates her free time to children in need as a CASA volunteer.

Jon Grodem

Sr. Director, Planning & Strategy

Jon has been with Optoma since December of 2006 and leads planning and strategy. He has held various marketing and product leadership positions with the company and prior to Optoma worked at NEC and Epson in product management roles. In his spare time, Jon can be found rooting for his favorite West Coast college football teams.

Carolyn Scott

Sr. Director, Marketing

Carolyn joined Optoma in January of 2016, bringing 20+ years of marketing experience to the company. She spent eleven years at Texas Instruments marketing DLP technology, and has held marketing management positions at Sprint and Starbucks. She enjoys live sporting and music events with her family, and has a love of food and drink trends.

Aziz Khan

Director of Operations

Aziz joined Optoma in February 2018 and leads the Customer Service, Warehouse, TSC and Logistics teams. Aziz has held leadership roles at technology companies including Snap-On, Varian and IRON Systems. He enjoys golf, soccer, tennis and hiking, is a big 49ers football fan as well as a cricket fan.

Richa Gera

Director, Human Resources

Richa manages all aspects of human resources, joining Optoma in August of 2010. She has over 20 years of experience at various Silicon Valley firms building corporate culture, implementing benefits, facilitating training, and recruiting talent. She is a certified yoga instructor and holds a Bachelor’s degree from U.C. Berkley.

Barbara Burrows

Director of Sales, Canada

Barbara joined Optoma in August of 2011 and manages all sales channels for Canada. She is responsible for account management, customer relationships and team mentoring, and has held sales management roles at various distribution and software companies. In her spare time, Barbara can be found mastering her acrylic painting hobby.

Brian Soto

Head of Product

Joining Optoma in March of 2011, Brian leads product management. He studied Engineering, Computer Science and Business at the Technological University of Chile and Wiltshire College, and has contributed his technical skills to companies such as LG and Siemens. Brian is known for his passion for AV, and spending time with his family at the beach.

Jyri Jokirinta

Sr. Manager, Audio

Jyri joined Optoma in 2014 with the acquisition of NuForce audio, where he was in charge of WW sales. He manages the U.S. audio business and is responsible for sales, marketing, and product strategy. An international force, Jyri speaks multiple languages, has lived in multiple countries, and played national hockey in Finland.

Robert Sarauw

Sr. Manager, Customer Service

A customer service veteran with over 40 years of experience, Robert has been with Optoma since May of 2001 and is responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications. Robert has a degree in Computer Technology and Networking Technology and enjoys playing basketball, baseball, football, and roller skating.
