ML750ST

Mobile Tech Talk

February 1, 2017

MobileTechTalk awarded the ML750ST 9/10 for build quality and design, 8.5/10 for sound and value and 9.9/10 for projection quality – to give a score of 8.9/10 overall.

“the ML750ST is super bright, and runs a lot cooler than any other projector I’ve ever tried”

“The fact the ML750ST looks so good in a dark room, in a bright room, on the wall or even on a glossy whiteboard, probably the worst surface to project onto, shows you just how damn good this is.”

“Optoma’s name is synonymous with projectors for a reason. They’re bloody good at making them.”

T3

January 30, 2017

“The Optoma NuForce BE Sport3 is the best pair of  running headphones at the moment.

“They’re comfortable, sound excellent, they’re very light and well weighted, and the battery life of 8-10 hours is pretty impressive, considering their tiny size.

“If you’re a runner or gym goer who demands decent audio, lightness, comfort and an unshakeable fit, the Optoma NuForce BE Sport3 is right at the top of the heap.”

“These are easily good enough to use as day-to-day headphones, with fantastic clarity and plenty of bass.”

Gadget Speak

“They are stated to last up to ten hours between charges and I managed this on one occasion, another was slightly more but a third test was around twenty minutes less so ten hours is a fair average.”

“Sound quality throughout the range was consistent.”

“The ear buds are easy to wear and with it comes a plethora of various ear tips that should suit every user.”

“Sound quality was definitely spot on. Trebles were clear and no distortion was heard even when I played music in high volumes. Bass could be deeper, but it still emulated a detailed low frequency response.

“But the best part of the NuForce BE Sport3 is the fact that it manages to give me about 10 hours of playback time just from a single charge!

“The NuForce BE Sport3 brings decent audio output fit for the active user. It may be light on features, but it manages to bring a great aural experience.”

The Inquirer

“Optoma has already wowed us with a pair of £350 earbuds this year but what to make of this more modest set aimed at sports? Well first and foremost, they are designed to be ridiculously comfortable, coming as they do with a huge range of earbuds and holders so you can pretty much mix and match for any year. The sound is a little bassy, but that’s what you want when you’re running and that’s the real market for these headphones. For comfort alone they’re massively recommendable, though perhaps a little steep in price. They also come with a lovely little pouch which can go on your keys or belt loops. A nice touch.”

ZU510T-W

Projectorcentral.com

January 6, 2017

“At $5,299, calling the Optoma ZU510T-W aggressively priced is an understatement. It is by far the least expensive 1920×1200 laser-phosphor projector in its performance class. It is also the lightest, at 24.2 pounds, which makes it easy to install.”

“Adding to the ZU510T-W’s luster is the 20,000 hours/5-year warranty on the light engine and 3 years on the projector itself, with express shipping of a replacement unit. This is among the best warranties in the projector industry. It pretty much seals the deal on making the Optoma ZU510T-W a solid value and an excellent choice for a variety of signage, display, classroom, and conference room installations.”

Chip

December 21, 2016

The W331 was given an ‘Excellent’ badge from Chip Magazine, which said:

“W331 is ideal for conference rooms which do not need to be darkened because of its good brightness of 3200 ANSI lumens. The projector has very low consumption in Eco mode 190W (bright mode 230W). Picture reproduction is very good with high contrast. Projector is light, roughly 2 kilos, making it easy to carry from one room to the another.”

HD27

Projektordoma.cz

“HD27 is replacement of  the HD26 and has better sharpness and a very high uniformity of image. Brightness is also better in comparison to the HD26 which allows you to have larger screen size. The main feature which increases the image quality is a new colour wheel to produce very natural colours in Rec. 709 standard.”

The Guardian

December 19, 2016

The ace up this machine’s sleeve is its Darbee image processing. Nothing to do with horse racing or contests between teams that happen to be cartographically close, this is instead a clever piece of imaging wizardry that amplifies textures and details to an inconceivable extent. Projected images take on near physical presence, skin pores are displayed with medical detail and hair looks so palpable one feels almost able to pluck it. It’s the next best thing to going to the cinema itself, and its long lamp life of up to 8,000 hours means you won’t have to pay the ticket price for a replacement for years.

Verdict: A box-office smash.
