  • Lamp-Free LED+ Projector

Optoma’s laser/LED projectors bring together innovative technologies that make them light, bright and easy to use and maintain. These lamp-free projectors help businesses and educators deliver their messages effectively, while reducing their carbon footprints.

The maintenance-free light source lasts over 20,000 hours, ensuring that these projectors give years of service without needing to replace or dispose of any lamp. Both incorporate a short-throw design and weigh about nine pounds. Both deliver business-ready brightness with ZX212ST at 2300 lumens, and the ZW212ST at 2500 lumens, while 100,000:1 contrast ratio ensures crisp and clear text.

Whether for classrooms or meeting rooms, wireless capabilities and Crestron® certification allow for remote management and control to support quick and easy usage.

High Contrast

Add more depth to your image with a high-contrast projector. With brighter whites and ultra-rich blacks, images come alive and text is crisp and clear.

Specially designed lamp modes reduce power consumption by up to 70%. Each mode also improves lamp life, which lowers the total cost of ownership and reduces maintenance.

AV Mute

When enabled via remote control or network management, the projector suspends (dims) video output to conserve energy.

Auto Power Off

To help save energy, this feature automatically turns off the projector after a set period of time, if it is not being used.

Short Throw Projection

Project images in limited space environments with short-throw projection. The short-throw lens requires short distances to project large images.

Optoma ZW212ST Review & Rating (,
February 10, 2015

The Optoma ZW212ST $4,103.00 at Amazon is a short-throw projector that’s able to project a large image despite being very close to the screen. It uses a hybrid light engine, which uses a combination of LEDs and lasers combined with a DLP chip, such as we’ve seen in recent Casio projectors such as the Casio XJ-H2650 $2,049.00 at Abe’s of Maine. The ZW212ST costs more up front than many comparable projectors that use conventional bulbs, but its light source is very long-lasting, so it’s unlikely you’ll ever have to replace the lamp.
